Farming Simulator 22 and Volvo team up for in-game partnership

Over the years, Giant Software’s Farming Simulator series has received a lot of accolades. As the group continues to grow in size and complexity, Giants has been able to collaborate with an increasing number of official brands around the world. Now another licensee will soon be using their hardware for the first time in Farming Simulator 22. Swedish manufacturers Volvo and Giant Software have officially announced their partnership and teased some of the gaming gear that will appear in Farming Simulator 22.

While most people in the public domain know Volvo for road vehicles, the company’s overall portfolio is much more than that. Fans of bus and truck simulators know well that Volvo also manufactures heavier vehicles, hence its presence in Farming Sim.

As seen in the new trailer, the logging crane is mostly seen in real life, but the scene then switches to short in-game footage. While this forestry equipment is not new to the Farming Simulator series, it confirms at least one of the classes that Volvo’s new virtual machine will occupy in the simulator.

When Volvo started, it acquired another machinery company that made tractors. But today, Volvo does not manufacture tractors. However, its specialty is wheel loaders (like the loaders featured in the trailer) and compact track loaders (skid steer).

The giants have confirmed that other equipment will be added in addition to the offered Volvo L200H wheel loader. This will be the first time Volvo CE (Volvo CE) has featured a licensed product in a video game. It’s not yet known when the new Volvo machines will come to Farming Simulator 22 via trucks, but at least Giants says the content will be coming “soon”.

The third DLC pack for Farming Simulator 22 will be released later this summer. The Sims’ first major expansion will be released in the fall.
